Program Overview


Due to COVID-19, the Summer program is pending final confirmation by The University of Limerick. The status of the program will be communicated to applicants during the application process. The University of Limerick is located in Limerick, Ireland, and is one of SRU's partner programs. The University of Limerick's Summer School will take place over 3 weeks from the end of May to mid-June (exact dates to be announced in the Spring every year). Students can from choose from one of many options with subjects including Irish Studies, Business, Healthcare, Physical Education & Sports Science and Theatre. The estimated cost for summer is $3600.00 which includes tuition; bed and board; Excursions to Limerick city and Bunratty Folk Park, Dublin City, the Cliffs of Moher; and in addition all on site social events.

Program Requirements


  • Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 to study abroad, however, some SRU international partner institutions may require a higher GPA
  • There is no class level requirement for study abroad at SRU
  • Disciplinary files will be requested from the Office of Student Conduct, for each applicant, and will be taken into consideration during the review process.
  • Please make sure to check with the Financial Aid (if applicable) for academic and other requirements that pertain to potentially receiving aid during your study abroad experience.

Accommodation and Meals


Students will live in on campus housing (B&B style) with linens and towels being provided upon arrival. Lunch and dinner will be provided 5 days a week and are included in the program fee.
